I'm not a retiree and do not have sufficient income from any other source. Which type of visa do I need? I don't see any FM3s that exactly meet my needs, but can't stay longer than 6 months per year on an FMT. Help!
Please contact a local expert for correct advise. Americans (foreigners) are constitutionally barred from owning land in Mexico. Meaning that you can build whatever you wish, but the politicians own your land forever. Be careful before you build, be ready to walk away, and good luck with Mexican politics.
What visa can I get to be able to live in Mexico and telecommute for an American company? (I'm American.)?
What does it mean to telecommute? What are typical pros and cons associated with this?
Telecommuting means you mainly work from your home. Most companies that support this require you to come to the office periodically for meetings, etc. with some predetermined frequency (weekly, monthly, etc.). The pros are no travel time and expense, and having greater control over your time and activiites. The cons are that this is not always effective for those who are not self disciplined or who are not able to work independently. It also gets lonely working by yourself and not interacting with others much during the day. Another disadvantage for some who do it is that you never "leave the office" with a home office, so may be inclined to work too much.
Who can I contact to find a great job where I can telecommute?
I want to work from home. I have accounting, sales, purchasing, auditing, and insurance claims experience. How can I find a great job telecommuting? Is there a special agency, headhunter, etc.? Please give advice if you are a telecommuter or if you have good advice. Thank you!
Here is something that you can do from home. I've been doing it for almost two years now.

Can you suggest some resources for good sales jobs? Preferably with the option to telecommute.?
I can pretty much sell anything, so I don't have a limit on what I can sell. My background includes technology sales, telecommunications and media. I'd like the opportunity to find some mid-to-high level sales jobs and would like to see if I can find resources outside of your traditional Monster.com or Careerbuilder or HotJobs. I also have management experience. Please offer any suggestions you might have. Thanks!
Four resources:
Softwaresalespeople.com often lists good sales jobs. I found a good job through this source.
Sellingpower.com will often list the top Sales Companies. I have found jobs using lists like these to cold call Sales Managers with success. I've gotten an amazing number of interviews and referrals this way.
I would ask former colleagues for any open positions they know. I've found this is most often the best source for good jobs.
Salesguy.org sometimes lists sales job information.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
Do I pay NYC tax is I'm not living in NYC and telecommute?
Hello,
I'm about to start a job where I am telecommuting and traveling around the US. I live in NY state, but do not live in NYC. The office where I am out of is based in NYC. Will I have to pay NYC tax? Will I get it back at the end of the year? Is it better to ask to transfered to the NJ office?
You only pay NYC income tax if you live AND work in NYC. There are a few exceptions for City employees but since you don't live and work in NYC, you won't pay it.
I am from the Philippines. What are the chances of getting a telecommute job requiring basic computer skills?
I need a job, but I am a full time mom, with two young children, so a work from home job would be the most ideal. I'm currently enrolled at a Medical Transcription school but want to work while completing the course.
Hope these job websites can help you.

Does anyone know or work for a company or agency which offers telecommute/work from home?
I have been searching for a legitimate work from home program for quite a while now (NOT HOME BASED BUSINESS), I'm not ready for that yet. I have found at least two which are legitimate. Though I think one of them is only a temp. I'm looking for full/part-time, long term. The other has yet to contact me. I do not want to be an independent contracter or vendor. I'm looking for a company for which I can work from home for and earn an hourly wage, working a certain shift. Weekly or Biweekly pay.
There are many companies who apppont agent at home. These opportunity exist in Medical transcription, Business Plan draft, Telecall support(voice), telesales etc. Please mentioned your special skills and i may be able to help you out to give some companies name. In the meantime, I will advise you to look out for an option to work online. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I can share my personal experience with you. When u are planning for a home based online work, be very careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site. I would like to share a link where you can make $600 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting a discussion and answering a discussion. the link is:

Please let me know, if you have any queries. I will try my best to give you right answer
If you live in CA but telecommute to work for a TX company, do you pay TX taxes or CA taxes?
Let's say you move to CA, but the company you work for in TX says you can keep your job with them and telecommute. How would the taxes work with that situation? TX has no State income tax, but CA does. Would the TX company be forced to take out CA State Income taxes or would you be responsible for that yourself and have to pay those taxes to CA at tax time. Or could you just skate by paying TX taxes?
You will have to pay tax to California, the state in which you will reside. FYI — You have a requirement to file a California Personal Income Tax Return if your Gross Income is $23,213 or more; or your Adjusted Gross Income is $20,470 or more.
Does anyone know of any legitimate telecommute / work at home companies that aren't home based businesses?
I am looking for a job that I can do at home. I have tried home based businesses and they don't seem to work for me. I have gone to may different websites to try and find something with a legitiamate company, but I have yet to find anything. If you have any input please help.
I think all of us are looking for an answer to this question. I can't seem to find anything unless I want to pay a bunch before they send me the info. I have been looking for awhile on a company that will let me work from home and I have given up and started my own business from house! And today I have gotten my first client!! Although I can't quit my normal job it is a start on getting my business going!
