Telecommute Ideas

I am currently seeking employment from 6am -2pm M-F and someone suggested that I try a telecommute job. But, everywhere I look, it seems that all I find are these scams where you have to pay to earn an income or there is no guaranteed salary. I then saw the article on Good Morning America where they stated that there really is such a thing as a " for real" work at home job in the medical coding/billing field. I would be happy even answering phones or doing customer service work. AS LONG AS IT IS LEGITIMATE ! I am a stay at home mom currently running a small at home business and just want to increase my income. When I went to ABCnews.com they did not really give specifics as to where you would go to get legitimate information regarding this subject. Where do you go to find legitimate information regarding this? Does anyone actually do this for real and for what company?

All this for free! who could ask for more? I use to be the type to say "If it sounds to good to be true, Then it is to good to be true!." Any at home job will do,but I just don't have the funds to invest anything for start up cost. I'm a single mother with 3 children and working part-time for 20 hr a week. Please if anyone could please lead me on the right path to my searches. Thanks

I had a book years ago that listed companies that hire home workers but I cant remember the name. Maybe your library can help or a google search.

Transcription is a good home based work. If you want to learn medical transcription, small businesses usually hire out. Medical billing is also good. You have to get a good skill.

For me personally, I am married to an Active Duty Service Member. Because we are constantly on the move, I need my "work" to move with me.

It is so frustrating that I spent so much money on acquiring my Masters and I can't even get a job to pay back my student loans.

Telecommuters are difficult to supervise. They are difficult to communicate with because you don't see them in person. And if you are always moving, the company would have to keep changing its computing and telecomm equipment to keep up with your moves. What kind of masters do you have?

I don't think they exist! I was in the same place last March as I have a special needs daughter and 1 year old son. I needed to be home. I also had researched many so called opportunities and very skeptical of them all.
